What is a Third Party Fundraiser?
A third-party fundraising event is any activity by a non-affiliated group or individual where Crisis Nursery has no fiduciary responsibility and little or no staff involvement. These schools, clubs, businesses, and other organizations are lovingly referred to as our Community Partners!
If you would like to become a Community Partner, please reach out to us at 217-337-2731. We ask that all events are approved by Crisis Nursery in advance. This is an important safeguard to preserving the integrity of the Crisis Nursery name and our commitment to raise the necessary funds to fulfill our mission in a cost-effective and efficient manner. Together, we will discuss your plan and provide guidance for success. This document will need to be signed in order to move forward with your event
If you are interested in organizing an event that supports Crisis Nursery, please contact Jenna Phillips. View our Application and Agreement here! Thank you for your interest and support!

Round Up for Good at Common Ground in December
"Each month, a local organization that enriches our community receives donations through customers 'Rounding Up' their change at the registers. Round Up For Good is a community-funded grant supported by our customers and owners. A little bit at the register adds up to a lot: we have raised over $429,268 for local organizations since 2012!"
Common Ground started this promotion in 2012, raising $6,300, and have "Rounded Up for Good" every year since. In 2021 they raised a cumulative $57,800 for local nonprofits like ours. Each year, Common Ground owners nominate nonprofits, we submit a project proposal, and then owners vote for 12 organizations.
We are honored to have been part of this program since 2013! In 18 years, Common Ground customers have rounded up more than $34,700 worth of change for Crisis Nursery! You do not need to be a co-op owner to shop at Common Ground. They've got everything from local cheeses and meats to wellness products, bulk foods, and an ever changing selection of beers and wines. So do your shopping at Common Ground and ask to Round Up for Good!

New Life Tattoos fundraiser - December 3, 9am - 9pm (or until fully booked)
"We're having a party. You’re all invited! It’s been too long since our last benefit and we’re very excited to open our doors to community for an event like this again."
New Life Tattoos chose to do this fundraiser for Crisis Nursery back in 2019 and raised $5,500!
The way it works is... walk-in to their downtown location on December 3 and sign up before the wait times get long. Then pick out a predrawn Mr.FlashMachine tattoo. When you think of flash tattoos, don't think that you'll get to pick from a dozen designs because they have more than 3000 to choose from. You can go in to either of their locations ahead of time to pick something out if you need time to think on it. These tattoos are valued at $150+ but New Life is only charging $80 and all proceeds will go to the Nursery. Not only are you getting a deal, but you're also supporting children and families in crisis. A gift of $80 can provide more than a month's worth of diapers for a kiddo!
Past Community Partner Events
Dress Down to Stand Up for Kids
Throughout the year, businesses and schools in the community are dressing down and raising money for Crisis Nursery. For a suggested $5 donation, participants can dress down for the day - jeans day, pajama day, jersey day, funky hat day, etc. - and wear a sticker to show support for Crisis Nursery. Since inception in 2013, this fun, easy program has raised nearly $25,000 for Crisis Nursery. Thank you to everyone in the community for your support for this fun program!
